Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is a powerful tool in the treatment of diabetes.
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) shows the glucose value in a completely different way than an ordinary blood glucose meter. Unlike a finger-prick test, which provides only a single value for a single time, the Dexcom G6 shows glucose values in real time, the whole time. You always know how quickly and in what direction the glucose values are changing, and you are warned, for example, if the value is too high or low.
